The Winnipeg Sea Bears have added NBA G League 6’11” center Noah Starkey. Starkey, known for his elite defense, was twice named Great Athletic Conference Defender of the Year at Southern Nazarene University, setting a single-season block record with 67. He has five years of professional experience, including three overseas with FIBA and two in the NBA G-League with the Oklahoma City Blue, where he won a championship last season. Winnipeg, currently in the bottom two of the Western Conference, hopes Starkey’s defense and aggression will turn their season around. Exciting times ahead for the Sea Bears!
