Forge FC pulled off a thrilling 2-1 victory over Toronto FC in the first leg of the Canadian Championship. Despite TFC having the majority of possession and more shots, both teams had an equal number of shots on target. Forge created better chances throughout the game, and Toronto was lucky to escape with only a 2-1 result. It was an extremely exciting display of skill for a mid-table CPL team to dominate an MLS team like that. Toronto will need to make some big changes to stand a chance in the second leg next month. Big ups to Forge!
